A seasoned monitoring and evaluation specialist with over two decades of experience in clinical and socio-behavioral research. Expertise spans public health, nutrition, livelihoods, women’s empowerment, and digital health. Led several large-scale, multi-country programs and policy research. Core strengths lie in designing, monitoring, and assessing complex interventions including social behavior change communication and community mobilization, especially with marginalized communities and women’s collectives. Generated evidence on interventions with self-help groups and women collectives; preconception nutrition; and implementation science study on women micro-entrepreneurs, which has strengthened the array of work globally. Currently leading two large portfolio of work on health systems and an impact evaluation on mental health. Most recently led an important study on preconception nutrition in the eight South Asian countries. Earlier, led a multi-country study to document the learnings and best practices around COVID-19 vaccination from India and 10 other countries - Bangladesh, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Nepal, Nigeria, South Africa, Uganda, and Vietnam. Also, coordinated a Phase-3 Indo-US clinical trial on a novel contraceptive method and conducted WHO-commissioned systematic reviews on cash transfers and contraception in South Asia. Has authored over 75 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters. A regular peer reviewer for international journals and contributes to several global academic forums, task forces, steering committees, and technical advisory platforms, including the World Health Organization.
