About
I have spent around 18 years working in the domains of nuclear medicine and molecular imaging. I am currently employed as a scientific officer, radiation safety officer, and postgraduate teacher at Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai. Throughout my academic and professional endeavours, I have developed an in-depth understanding of biomedical science and have had the opportunity to work in environments with state-of-the-art technological setups. I have contributed to the establishment of several nuclear medicine facilities, the development of tender specifications, and the procurement and commissioning of PET/CT, SPECT/CT, Cyclotron, and related radiation safety and radiation measuring equipment as a specialist in medical physics and radiation safety. I have gained ample experience using medical informatics while working on the IT team at our hospital. Various scientific projects and clinical trials in which I participated included evaluating and optimising PET/CT and SPECT/CT scanners for clinical usage. I have also created a number of software programmes for routine clinical use and for clinical and scientific research initiatives. During my research, I was also fairly exposed to and gained knowledge in data science, artificial intelligence in oncology, and information technology. I have a number of academic publications and abstracts in numerous peer-reviewed journals and conferences at the national and international levels. I have served on editorial boards and as a reviewer for numerous reputable publications all around the world. In order to advance education and training in the profession, I have organised a number of conferences and CMEs. I also participated in the management of a number of professional societies in our nation. At Tata Memorial Hospital, I had a key role in the establishment and curriculum development of the PGDFIT and M. Sc. Nuclear Medicine programmes under HBNI-Deemed University.
