About
I am currently working at IFMR Investments (Chennai, India) as the Investment Strategist. Part of my responsibilities include structuring of debt funds in India to invest in asset classes that promote financial inclusion. I was previously working in the institutional equities research team at IIFL Capital (Mumbai, India), specialising in economic and financial research for the Indian equity market. IIFL Capital’s institutional equity desk is one of the leading local brokerages in India. As part of the research team, I was responsible for providing top-down investment advice to IIFL Capital’s foreign and domestic investors on their equity strategy.
Prior to IIFL Capital, I was working with J.P. Morgan India (Mumbai, India), in their Emerging Markets Strategy team, primarily focusing on the Asia Pacific region. The Emerging Market Strategy team specialized in equity strategy for developing countries. I have also worked at HSBC India’s Analytics division (Bangalore, India) with experience in model building and data analytics, and had short internship stints at Watson Wyatt (Gurgaon, India) – a global people and financial management consultancy, and Roulac India Investment Advisory (Hyderabad, India) – a boutique real estate investment advisory firm.
I competed my Masters in Economics from Madras School of Economics, Chennai (India) and I am a CFA® charterholder from the CFA Institute, US.
