About
Rakesh C V is currently working as an Assistant Professor in Speech-Language Pathology at Gallaudet University, Washington, DC, USA. He is the recipient of the prestigious ‘Travers Reid’ award at the 2021 Oxford Dysfluency Conference, UK, and the NIH Travel Grant Award 2022, Montreal, Canada. His research focuses on the mechanism underlying stuttering, the treatment of stuttering, and emotional issues in stuttering and voice disorders. He has more than five years of experience in teaching graduate and postgraduate students of speech and hearing, and 11 years of clinical experience. He has published more than 17 research articles in peer-reviewed international Journals, such as the Journal of Fluency and Disorders, Folia Phoniatrica, and the International Journal of Speech-Language Pathology. He also has four book manuals, two book chapters, and an extramural project in the field of stuttering to his credit. He has presented scientific research at various national and international conferences and won five Best Paper Awards. He received his post-graduation and doctoral degrees in speech-language pathology from the All India Institute of Speech and Hearing, University of Mysore.
