About

Dr. Virendra Pandey received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Mumbai at the Bhabha Atomic Research Center (BARC), India. He served as a Senior Scientist at BARC and received the Shanti Swaroop Bhatnagar Award in 1991 from the Prime Minister of India for his contributions to Life Sciences. Since 1996, Dr. Pandey has been Professor of Biochemistry at Rutgers University, New Jersey. After his retirement, Rutgers University honored him with the title of Emeritus Professor. He recently completed a master’s degree in Maharishi Ayurveda and Integrated Medicine from MIU in Fairfield, Iowa. His research has focused primarily on pathogen-host interactions and has received continuous funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
