About
I am presently working as Principal (Professor Grade Level-14, 7th CPC), Hariom Saraswati PG College, Haridwar (Government Aided P.G. College of Uttarakhand), affiliated to Sri Dev Suman Uttarakhand University, Tehri.
Prior to that, I worked as Professor & Director of prestigious Shri Ram College, Muzaffarnagar (NAAC 'A++' grade accredited College) affiliated to CCS University, Meerut. Also, worked as Chairman, IQAC and actively got engaged with the NAAC accreditation for 2nd Cycle having an expertise of NAAC accreditation process of filling and complying with AQARs, IIQA, SSR, SSS and DVV etc. and got A++ grade of NAAC in June 2022.
Earned Ph.D. from IIT Roorkee in the subject area of Economics of Continuing Engineering Education in the year 1999. Since my Doctorate I have been teaching economics and business development where in the major responsibilities have always been related to executing my understanding of Business Development and Organization Building and Development.
I have an experience of working in University setup as I have worked with KIIT University, Bhubaneswar, University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Dehradun and Gurukula Kangri University, Haridwar (ad hoc). I have been a founding team member to a small group which established institution like KIIT University, Bhubaneswar, Vidya School of Business, Meerut, College of Management and Economic Studies, UPES Dehradun and 5 other institutions.
I have an extensive experience of legally establishing organizations in the form of Institutions, Trusts and Societies along with a deep understanding of compliances liaison especially with large government departments, organizations and ministries.
Its been a journey of 22 years wherein I have learned to build teams, hold them and to take them forward towards the goals as decided by the boards of the organizations I have been working with. Also I have been responsible for conceptualizing, planning and mobilizing resources.
My job role responsibilities, to head and lead institutions, revolved around an intensive paperwork for complying with application process in order to get approvals from Councils and affiliation from Universities, obtaining NOCs from state government and higher education directorate. For annual renewal of affiliations and extension of approvals detailed paperwork and report making for compliances under a legal framework, I had to have meetings with Secretaries, Vice chancellors and Registrars of the affiliating Universities.
Being on administrative positions I also performed budget preparation, resource allocation, planning and implementation and getting the financial audits done and submitted. I have been working successfully with institutions having workforce of around one hundred employees in my team.
I am also associated with a learned body of academicians and researchers Himalayan Management and Development Resource Institute, Rishikesh registered as Trust. I am the founder Secretary of this trust and look after all the secretarial, operational, financial and legal formalities.
On the whole, I have a rich experience of establishing, running, managing and developing higher and technical education Institutions single handedly. I have a vast experience of preparing, presenting project reports to government officials at various levels, I have been in liaison with different government bodies. My position allowed me to discharge my duties and responsibilities of institutional building that had a blend of administrative and academic activities throughout my career. I played a key role in founding different Institutions/ Organizations where I had a more of administrative responsibilities than purely academic ones.
I am also accredited as Functional Area Expert (Socio Economic) approved by National Accreditation Board for Education & Training Quality Council of India in Accreditation Committee Meeting held on June 1, 2021 for category 'A'.
