About

Currently, he is working as a reliability engineer at Simcad Technologies, Pune, Maharashtra, India. He has hands-on experience in the Prediction, RBD, FTA, FMEA/FMECA, and FMEDA. Apart from this, he has used reliability metrics and KPIs for the performance of machines. Also, he is using reliability testing models like ALT and the reliability Growth Model for prototype testing and validation. He has proficiency on the RAM analysis and RCM for process industries heavy machineries. He has ability to work as team members as well as a single capacity. He has knowledge of various MIL standard and ISO standards. As reliability engineer/consultant, he demonstrates the isograph software to potential customer. He has good command on the Isograph reliability software modules like Reliability Prediction, FT+, RBD, FMEA/FMECA/FEMDA, AvSim, RCM, ALT and Reliability growth model.

He worked as a reliability engineer at Orbit & Skyline Semiconductors, Mohali. Punjab for 7 months(April 2024- Oct 2024). He has hands-on experience in the RBD, FTA, and FMEA. Apart from this, he has used reliability metrics and KPIs for the performance of machines. Also, he is using reliability testing models like ALT and the reliability Growth Model for prototype testing and validation. He is interested in working in Operation Research, reliability analysis of systems, components failure analysis, Maintenance plans, Reliability allocations, Life cost cycle, and implementation of ML/AI techniques RAMS.

Deepak Kumar pursued a PhD(2016-2022) in reliability and maintenance analysis from the Indian Institute of Technology (Benaras Hindu University) Varanasi, India. My Ph.D. thesis is "Reliability Analysis of Dragline Using Bayesian Network". His PhD research area is to investigate reliability analysis of Heavy earthmoving machinery (HEMM) using repairable and non-repairable concepts on the component and system level, application of different maintenance schedules, and FMECA. He takes a multidisciplinary approach to remaining useful life estimation. He uses machine learning techniques like different modes of regression, classifiers, and Neural networks in reliability estimation, and uses risk and safety aspects in mining industries.

He worked as the Senior Research Fellow in the Department of Mining Engineering, IIT(BHU) Varanasi on the project “Optimization of Capacity Utilization of Draglines deployed in NCL through Big Data Analytics” from 12th March 2021 to 31st October 2023.
He holds an M.Tech degree in Design and Production Engineering(Mechanical Engineering) from the National Institute of Technology Durgapur, India. He investigated the curved Beam using the Finite Element Method to estimate the mechanical and physical properties. He completed his degree in session 2013-2015.
