Dr. Syed Mohammad Khurshaid Quadri is Professor in the Department of Computer Science, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. He is highly innovative and extremely diligent person. He has tremendous potential to widen his horizon of knowledge, which already has lot of depth. He is quite receptive to new ideas on research in Computer Science and adapts to them with ease.
His efficiency both as a teacher and researcher as well as a computer professional is another point. He has attained comprehensive experience in both of them, owing to hard work, he has put in.
He appointed as Professor, in the department of Computer Science, University of Kashmir in the month of December 2012 later has joined Jamia Millia Islamia as Professor in the month of January 2016. He has been involved in teaching to master level courses right from joining the University of Kashmir in addition to being actively involved in research work from the year 2002. He has been teaching various subjects in Computer Science like Analysis and Design of Algorithm, Programming Languages like Core JAVA, Python, R Software, C, C++ and FORTRAN, Data Structure, Statistical Techniques, Numerical Techniques, Simulation Modelling, Computer Fundamentals etc. He has been awarded Ph.D. in Computer Science on the topic “A Study of Software Reliability Growth Model Considering Optimal Software Release Policies and Hardware Reliability Theory” in 2009. He has published more than 140 research papers in national as well as international journals. He has published many books and book chapters. Till date, eighteen (18) scholars have been awarded PhD degree under his supervision.
Dr. Quadri has worked as various prestigious positions in the University of Kashmir and in Jamia Millia Islami (A central University) like as Head of the department of Computer Science and Director Information Technologies in both the universities. Besides the teaching and research, Prof. Quadri is also member of various prestigious Societies like:- (1) Anjuman(Court) Member of JMI, (2) Member of Planning Board, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi (3) Member of Board of Studies of the Department of Computer Science, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh (UP) (India) (4) Member of Board of Studies of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Maulana Azad Nation Urdu University, Hyderabad (India) (5) Expert Member of National Accreditation and Assessment Council (NAAC). He bears a good moral character and a modest demeanour. He is a lovely person to work with.
