About

Ramratan Guru is an Associate Professor, Head of Department, Ph. D Coordinator with the School of Design (SOD) at Mody University of Science and Technology, India. His research interests include new materialism, sustainability in fashion and textiles; circular fashion; waste management; technical textile, green composite materials and ethical fashion.
His Postdoctoral research was completed at the School of Engineering, Department of Textile Engineering, University of Minho, Portugal, Europe. His Ph.D., M. Tech, and B. Tech were completed in the Department of Textile Technology at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Jalandhar, Punjab, India.
Dr. Ramratan has authored six books, published over 195 high-impact journal and conference papers, and contributed to more than 25 book chapters. He holds five granted patents and has filed more than 30 patent National and International applications. Dr. Ramratan has developed over eight innovative cellulosic fibers, earning recognition for his research in various countries, including Canada, the USA, Europe, the UK, and Brazil. He actively collaborates with universities across Brazil, Europe, Canada, the USA, and Asia. He has extensive publications in high impact journals as well as books and book chapters.
