About

Teresa Silva Dias is a researcher at the University of Porto at the Centre for Research and Intervention in Education (CIIE) of the Faculty of Psychology and Education. Her research programme is funded by the FCT (Portuguese Foundation of Science and Technology). She is a psychologist and has a Ph.D. in Educational Sciences. She had an advanced specialization in Community Psychology, Special Education, and Early Intervention (OPP). Currently, her research interests lie on political development; citizenship and civic and political participation of children and young people; school as a context for the development of practices of citizenship, participation, and involvement; civic and political participation in the community, sports, and non-formal education contexts. She has been engaged in four international projects related to Service-Learning (SL) in HEI and University Social Responsibility (USR).
