About

Presently, I am working as Professor in Department of Physics, Fergusson College (Autonomous) Pune. My Ph.D. (Physics) degree majored in Materials Science on the thesis entitled "Zinc Oxide based Nanostructures: Hydrophobic and Optoelectronic Properties" from the Department of Physics, awarded (May 2013) by University of Pune (UoP) under the guidance of Prof. Arun Banpurkar, Department of Physics, awarded (May 2013) University of Pune in collaboration with Dr. Satishchandra B. Ogale, Senior Scientist, National Chemical Laboratory, Pune. I have been awarded with one-year post-doctoral research fellowship (Raman Fellowship) by University Grants Commission (UGC) on the project entitled “Highly efficient photo-electrochemical water splitting using semiconductor thin films grown by chemical vapor Deposition" under the mentorship of Prof. Arunava Gupta, University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, USA.
I am presently working on two major research projects, first one is on the synthesis of anode materials of Li-ion battery funded by Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO-UoP) Cell, Pune and second one is funded by DST-SERB, Govt. of India on Research and development of 3D printed electrodes for photoelectrochemical and
electrocatalytic water splitting.
As a recognized Ph.D. guide of Savitribai Phule Pune University, three full-time and two part-time research scholars are pursuing their PhD degree under my guidance.
