About
Kumar is an engineer by training, with strong interest in interdisciplinary studies, combining different field of science such as biophysics, microbiology and molecular biology, Kumar had been trained on various microscopic platforms such as Scanning electron microscopy(SEM), Atomic Force Microscopy(AFM) and also on optical microscopes (CLSM and TIRF). In SCELSE(www.scelse.sg) Kumar had developed high-throughput immunofluorescent technique for screening subcellular localization patterns of virulence proteins in bacteria. Currently he is involved in developing state of art super resolution imaging platforms for studying dynamics of molecules in cells and in biofilm
