Dr. Swapan Paul

About

Dr. Swapan Paul is a Librarian at the Central Library of Tamralipta Mahavidyalaya, West Bengal, India. He holds an M.L.I.S. and a Ph.D. in Library and Information Science from Vidyasagar University, an M.Phil. from the University of Calcutta, and an M.Com. from Vidyasagar University. He has over 12 years of experience in the library profession.

He has several publications to his credit, indexed in Scopus and Web of Science, including journals such as Annals of Library and Information Studies, DESIDOC Journal of Library & Information Technology, COLLNET Journal of Scientometrics and Information Management and The Serials Librarian. His research interests include research evaluation metrics and Knowledge organization.

Dr. Paul is a member of several professional associations, including the Indian Library Association (ILA), New Delhi; the Indian Association of Special Libraries and Information Centres (IASLIC), Kolkata; the West Bengal College Librarians’ Association (WBCLA), Kolkata; and the Bengal Library Association (BLA), Kolkata.
