About
I am currently pursuing my Ph.D. from BITS Pilani K.K.Birla Goa Campus, India under the supervision of Dr. Anirban Roy. My Ph.D. research is focused on understanding the techno-economic feasibility analysis of integrated technology for greywater treatment. The research spotlight is on developing a point of use system capable to treat greywater discharge from Indian households. I have worked extensively on technologies like hydrodynamic cavitation, ozonation, membrane separation, and adsorption process specializing in designing and developing energy-efficient and affordable processes for greywater treatment. I have my hands-on experience in hollow fiber membrane spinning device, cartridge fabrication, and testing. During my Ph.D., I was presented with an opportunity to visit Cavitation & Dynamics Lab, CSIR-IICT under the supervision of Dr. Siddhartha Moulik where I worked on Cavitation based Advanced Oxidation process for effective degradation of emerging organic micropollutants in water, design and development of a pilot hybrid hydrodynamic cavitation reactor for effective treatment of textile industrial effluent and designing an advanced oxidation integrated bioreactor for recycling of drain wastewater. My research interest lies in the field of wastewater treatment, advanced oxidation processes, and advanced separation processes.
Before joining Ph.D. I worked as an engineer for a short stint in ARCL Organics Ltd. Kolkata after completing my graduation from Haldia Institute of Technology, Haldia in 2017. During Graduation, I worked under Prof Radharani Das and Prof Dipak Jana from whom I got the 1st essence of research.
Having thrived in a multicultural environment I like to reinvent myself in the professional work environment obtaining a deeper insight into Chemical Engineering through research alongside develop the necessary skills and utilize those skills to solve real-life problems by attaining the pinnacle of the profession through smart work, dedication and determination. I am passionate about sharing my inspiration with many more around me. I bring passion and enthusiasm to everything I do and have an insatiable thirst for knowledge. When I am not working, I’m probably hanging out with my friends, trying out new restaurants, cheering on my favorite sports team, watching TV shows, or messing around on something inspired by Steve Jobs.
Feel free to explore all of my ramblings, and of course, don’t hesitate to reach out via email. Looking forward to getting to know you.
