About

My name is Adolph Kasegenya, and I am currently affiliated with the Indian Institute of Technology Indore (IIT Indore), India, where my research focuses on Quantum Key Distribution (QKD)-enabled optical networks, quantum-secured communications, security-aware resource allocation, trusted repeater node placement and optimization, quantum–classical coexistence, and traffic-aware and disaster-resilient optical network design.

I obtained my Master of Science in Information and Communication Science and Engineering (M.Sc. ICSE) from the Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology (NM-AIST), Tanzania, in December 2014. I received my Bachelor of Engineering in Information Systems and Network Engineering (B.E. ISNE) from St. Joseph College of Engineering and Technology, Tanzania (currently St. Joseph University in Tanzania) in 2011.

My academic and technical background spans optical and quantum communications, computer networks, telecommunications, network security, computer programming, database systems, web technologies, computer engineering, and electronics. My current research particularly investigates the design and optimization of secure and resilient QKD-enabled optical networks, including physical-layer security constraints, dynamic quantum resource management, security-level-aware routing, trusted infrastructure design, and network resilience against failures, disasters, and security threats.

Throughout my professional career, I have served in several technical roles, including System Administrator, Network Engineer, Computer Engineer, Machine Engineer for large-format printing systems, and Computer Tutor. These experiences have strengthened my technical problem-solving, project planning and organization, teamwork, communication, and ability to work effectively with people from diverse professional and academic backgrounds.

My research interests broadly include Quantum Communications, Quantum Key Distribution Networks, Optical Networks, Network Security, Resource Allocation and Optimization, Trusted Repeater Node Placement, Software-Defined Optical Networking, and Resilient Communication Networks.
