About

I am from srinagar which is the summer capital of Jammu & Kashmir. I did my schooling from CMS Tyndale Biscoe School sheikh bagh srinagar. I completed my MBBS from Government Medical College Srinagar from 1985-1990. Did my Masters degree in Surgery from Sher-i-kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences soura srinagar from 1993-1996. Completed 2 years of Senior Residency at SKIMS in the department of Surgery & its Allied Speciality upto 1999 january. Was selected for DNB in Urology at Jaslok hospital and research centre Mumbai from 1999-2001. Got Married and presently having two kids and wife been an Ophthalmologist, working as consultant Ophtholmologist at Government Medical College Srinagar.Initially did 5 years of Senior Residency at SKIMS from 2001-2006 and then worked as Consultant Urologist & Renal Transplant surgeon at GMC Srinagar from 2006-2009 & 2009 to 2012 in the same institute as Lecturer and then finally jioned as Lecturer in Superspeciality hospital, GMC srinagr from 2012 and at present I am Associate Professor and Head. I have started DNB programme in urology from 2019 August and we have been joined by two candidates/ year. The department has all facilities for stone disease , endo-urological procedures including Bi-Polar Turp, Laparoscopic , Reconstructive, Oncological , Uro-gynaecological and pediatric urological procedures been done . All emergency are done and we applied to Renal Transplant Programme, which will be started soon along with Robotic surgeries.
