About

Suman Kumar Ghosh completed his B. Sc. degree in Industrial Chemistry (Hons.) from Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira, Belur Math under the University of Calcutta in 2014. Then, he received his M.Sc. degree in Applied Chemistry from Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira under the University of Calcutta in 2016. After that, he obtained his M.Tech. degree from Rubber Technology Center, Indian Institute of Technology; Kharagpur in 2018. During his M.Tech. he worked in the Department of Elastomer Research at Leibniz-Institut für Polymerforschung Dresden e.V. Germany as a Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD) fellow under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sven Wiessner on a project entitled “Characterization of dissipation and damage in filled and unfilled rubber by thermography”. He has completed his Ph.D. degree on "Nanoclay and graphene-based thermoplastic nanocomposites for packaging applications under the supervision of Prof. Narayan Chandra Das at Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India. His research area includes the preparation of polymer nanocomposites, nanocomposites for packaging applications, polymer nanocomposites for EMI shielding, graphene, polymer blend, nanomaterial synthesis, thermoplastic nanocomposite films, rubber compounding, and conductive rubber composites. He published 29 research papers, 4 book chapters and 1 patent.
