About

I am a dedicated research associate at the Department of Chemistry, Central University of Rajasthan, with extensive expertise in electrochemistry, analytical chemistry, and materials science. My current research focuses on developing electrochemical biosensors for glucose and other therapeutically important biomolecules, as part of a CANATU-sponsored project titled “Electrochemical Biosensor for Glucose.”
I specialize in the fabrication and characterization of advanced materials, including nanocomposite-modified electrochemical electrodes, functionalized surfaces using EDC/NHS, 1-pyrenebutanoic acid succinimidyl ester (1-PBASE/PANHS), and 3-Mercaptopropionyl-N-hydroxysuccinimide ester (3-MPS-NHS), as well as polymer nanocomposites and nanomaterial-based electrocatalysts. Additionally, I have significant experience in immobilizing biorecognition molecules such as enzymes and antibodies onto electrode surfaces for enhanced sensor performance.
I hold a PhD and MPhil in Chemistry from Jiwaji University, Gwalior, India. My research spans a wide array of applications, from electrochemical sensors for detecting pharmaceutical drugs, heavy metals, and chemical contaminants in water and food, to the development of electrocatalysts for hydrogen production and environmental monitoring. I have worked with various nanomaterials, including graphene, metal oxides, and conductive polymers, to design innovative sensing platforms for biomedical, pharmaceutical, and environmental applications.
Prior to my current role, I have held research positions at renowned institutions such as the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Mumbai, and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China, where I contributed to the development of electrochemical sensors and biosensors for clinical diagnostics, energy production, and environmental analysis. I am proficient in a variety of advanced electrochemical and analytical techniques, including cyclic voltammetry (CV), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), and electrode surface modification. I also have experience with materials characterization methods such as FTIR, SEM/EDX, TGA/DSC, and XRD.
I have published extensively in high-impact scientific journals, presenting my work at national and international conferences. In addition to my research contributions, I have also served as a guest lecturer at NIFTEM-K Sonipat and Sant Baba Bhag Singh University, Jalandhar, where I mentored graduate students and supervised research projects.
