About
I am a researcher with training in molecular and cellular biology, employing multidisciplinary approaches to investigate fundamental biological processes.
I have hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture and a broad range of molecular biology techniques, including nucleic acid and protein isolation, protein quantification, SDS-PAGE, and Western blotting. I am proficient in PCR, agarose gel electrophoresis, bacterial transformation, mammalian cell transfection, and lentiviral transduction. Additionally, I have experience in assessing mitochondrial function, oxidative stress, and metabolic reprogramming using CellROX, FCCP, MitoSOX, and TMRE assays, complemented by confocal microscopy for the analysis of mitochondrial morphology and dynamics.
Furthermore, I have experience with next-generation sequencing (NGS) methodologies, including RNA sequencing (RNA-seq) and Assay for Transposase-Accessible Chromatin using sequencing (ATAC-seq), to investigate gene expression and chromatin accessibility.
During my undergraduate and master's studies, I worked on research projects involving plant tissue culture and the phytochemical characterization and biological evaluation of medicinal plant species, including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial activities.
