Dr. Jugal Kishore earned MBBS (MAMC), MD (Community Medicine, AIIMS), PGCHFWM (NIHFW), PGDEE, MSc (Sustainable Development), MSc. (Mental Health), Advanced Course in Medical Education (ACME), PhD in Psychiatry, Executive Program in Public Policy, Leadership and Management (EPPLM), Fellow of Indian Association of Public Health (FIPHA), National Academy of Medical Science (FAMS), Fellow of International Medical Science Academy (FIMSA), Fellow of Indian Association of Preventive and Social Medicine (FIAPSM), Fellow of Indian Association for Adolescent Health (FIAAH), Fellow of Indian Society of Malaria and other Communicable Diseases (FISMOCD).

Dr. Jugal Kishore is a passionate medical educator who emerged as a public health institution; born in a village in New Delhi in 1967. After completing his schooling, medical graduation, and postgraduation in Community Medicine, he got the opportunity to develop a department of Community Medicine at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Nepal and the Center for Occupational & Environmental Health at Lok Nayak Hospital, New Delhi. He has worked in various institutions with remarkable capacities. He did his PhD in Psychiatry at the University of Delhi due to his great interest in Mental health. He has been actively involved in the Social, Mental, and Environmental Health Movement in India. His more than 500 research papers are published in journals, magazines, and dailies and he has contributed to many chapters in books. He has authored more than 40 books on public health, national programs, social reform, and rationality. He is an editor for many professional journals and chair of many prestigious boards and task forces in government agencies. He is known for the development of public health education in the country. Many awards and recognitions have been bestowed upon him such as the “Dr. S Radhakrishnan Memorial Teacher Award”, the Lifetime Achievement Award for the promotion of AYUSH 2020, the Hakeem Ajmal Khan International Award 2021, and The University of Queensland Brisbane Australia awarded for special contribution to Sub-Project 7: Strengthening the National Capital Center for Occupational & Environmental Health, Delhi, 1999-2001. Due to his scientific advancement, he has been elected as a Fellow of the National Academy of Medical Sciences (FAMS), India, the International Medical Science Academy (IMSA), the Indian Association of Preventive and Social Medicine (IAPSM), Indian Public Health Association, and many more have honoured fellowship. He has organized more than 110 International conferences, workshops, symposiums, and guest lectures. He has delivered 400 guest lectures, panels, and invited speeches, and delivered more than 75 sessions online and more than 20 interviews on radio and TV. He has participated in more than 150 conferences, workshops, and panel discussions as chairperson, or panelist. He has been an examiner for many exams in many universities. His mission is to liberate man through education and the development of public health.
