About
I am currently working as a Postdoctoral Associate at the Cornell University, Ithaca, USA, where my research focuses on developing mechanoactive aortic valve model, organ-on-chip platforms, and cell-type specific GTPase activity for disease modeling, personalized medicine, and point-of-care diagnostics. My work integrates biomaterials, microfabrication, and biomedical device development to address clinically relevant problems through interdisciplinary research.
My research interests include Tissue Engineering & Regenerative Therapeutics; Cardiovascular engineering; Calcific aortic valve disease; Bioartificial liver; GTPase signaling; Mechanobiology; Immunoengineering; Therapeutic Biomarker Discovery & Validation; Multi-organ disease models; Molecular and Cellular Engineering; Gene Delivery Technologies; Matrix-bound nanovesicles; Host tissue-biomaterial interface; Macrophage polarization; Immunomodulation; AI-based image analysis.
My long-term research vision is to establish a multidisciplinary laboratory focused on next-generation microphysiological systems, organ-on-chip technologies, and precision diagnostic platforms. I aim to develop clinically relevant in vitro models that improve our understanding of human diseases while reducing dependence on animal models. I also envision translating laboratory innovations into affordable healthcare technologies suitable for resource-limited settings, aligning with India's growing emphasis on indigenous biomedical innovation and translational research.
