About
Dr D Sreedhar serves as Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs and Management at the Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, part of the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Karnataka. He completed his PhD at MAHE in 2010 and, after gaining industry experience in the pharmaceutical sector for two years, transitioned to academia in 2003.
Dr Sreedhar has an extensive publication record with over 100 research and review articles, along with more than 100 oral and poster presentations at international conferences. He is the editor of two books, has contributed six book chapters, and serves on the editorial boards of reputable journals. A committed member of the academic and professional community, he holds life memberships in over ten professional associations and societies.
Throughout his career, Dr Sreedhar has mentored more than 60 postgraduate students, supervised two full-time and two part-time PhD scholars, and currently guides four PhD candidates. His roles in professional organizations include serving as the Secretary of the Indian Pharmaceutical Association, Manipal Branch, Joint Secretary of the Manipal Auto Club, and former Treasurer of the Manipal-Udupi Toastmasters Club. He has also been active in community service as both Treasurer and Past President of the Rotary Club Manipal Town, and he is affiliated with JCI Udupi City and the Public Relations Council of India, Udupi-Manipal Chapter.
In recognition of his contributions, Dr Sreedhar has received awards and honors. He was awarded the “Distinguished Alumnus Award” by Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2014 and received a travel grant from the International Society of Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research to present his work in Barcelona, Spain. In 2018, he was honored with the Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Award for Teaching Excellence, and in 2021, he received an AICTE grant to promote creativity, ethics, and student engagement. Additionally, Dr Sreedhar served as a project coordinator for an ICSSR-funded research initiative, underscoring his commitment to advancing research in pharmaceutical sciences.
