About

I am Anand Kumar Mandal, currently working as a Research Associate after submitting my Ph.D. in Industrial and Production Engineering from NIT Jalandhar. Previously, I served as an Assistant Professor (TEQIP) at the College of Technology, Pantnagar, selected through a highly competitive World Bank-funded project (TEQIP-III), where over 20,000 candidates were screened by the Government of India. During my tenure, I successfully completed a research project worth ₹8,83,000.

Earlier in my career, I held Assistant Professor positions in institutions based in Jharkhand and Bangalore. I hold an M.S. (Research) from IIT Bombay and an M.Tech in Welding Engineering from IIT Roorkee. My research focuses on welding process optimization using statistical and mathematical models, combining both experimental and computational approaches.

To gain practical insight into industrial welding, I also worked in a welding fabrication unit. I have organized academic webinars, led student engagement initiatives, served as a hostel warden, and actively contributed as a "Corona Warrior" during the COVID-19 pandemic.
