About
Dr. Arabinda Sharma is currently working as Associate Professor (Geoinformatics) at School of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Gangadhar Meher Universirty, Sambalpur. He has obtained his Ph.D. in Soil & Water Conservation Engineering from IIT Kharagpur, India. He is recipient of many scholarships and fellowships for pursuing higher studies and research. He has around fifteen years of research and teaching experience. His broad research areas include Geomatics, Water Resource and Environmental Engineering. He has seventy-three research publications to his credit. He has been resource person to several national-level workshops. He has served as reviewer and member of the editorial board of more than fifteen internationally reputed journals published by Elsevier, Springer, Taylor & Francis, Wiley etc. He has also organized a number of National Conference and workshops on various topics. He has also served as a member of the technical programme committee (TPC) of a number of international conferences. For his excellent achievements, his biography has been included in 29th Edition of "Marquis Who's Who in the World", USA (2011) and “2000 intellectual of 21st century”, IBC, Cambridge, London (2012). He has been also conferred with several national awards such as Jawaharlal Nehru Outstanding Doctoral Thesis Award-2012 from Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi, and Young Achiever Award- 2013 from Indian Society of Geomatics, Ahmedabad.
