About

I am a librarian with a passion for connecting people with information and fostering a love for learning. Throughout my career, I have demonstrated expertise in organizing and managing library resources, implementing innovative services, and assisting patrons with their research needs. My knowledge spans various areas, including Integrated Library Systems, Electronic Resource Management, Metadata, Discovery Tools, Content Management Systems (Drupal), Information Literacy, Digitization, Open Access Publications, and Bibliometric Analysis. I am well-versed in utilizing bibliometric tools such as Scopus and Mendeley, enabling me to provide insightful analyses of publication impact and scholarly metrics. I am also a certified librarian for Mendeley and Scopus.

During my professional career, I have been awarded the opportunity to participate in the "Advanced Certificate Course on Modern Library Practices" at the National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR), Chennai, from 28-09-16 to 22-11-16 under the ITEC Programme.

Additionally, I have been competitively selected to participate in a two-week staff mobility and training fellowship program at the Library of the Central European University (CEU) in Vienna from February 11 to February 24, 2024. The project title was "Implementing and Sustaining a Research Impact Program at a University Library". This fellowship was fully funded by the Open Society University Network.

My proven track record includes maintaining an up-to-date collection and ensuring easy access to library materials. I have experience conducting information literacy programs, teaching research skills, and promoting digital literacy among library users. I also conduct training programs for librarians on Electronic Resource Management. Proficient in utilizing library management systems and software, I excel at assisting patrons with information retrieval, research methodologies, and reference services. I am committed to providing exceptional customer service and building positive relationships with library patrons, faculty, and staff. Additionally, I am skilled in creating and curating digital content, such as online guides, tutorials, and interactive resources, to enhance the user experience.

Staying up to date with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in library science is a priority for me, and I actively seek professional development opportunities.
