About
I am an Assistant Professor in Management (Information Systems) at the School of Management, Mahindra University. My research interests include enterprise systems implementation and business process change, digitally enabled sharing economy (BoP), and technology-enabled remote (hybrid work).
My broad research focus is to understand the impact of technology on society in general and business organizations in particular through a socio-technical perspective. I believe that a socio-technical perspective is one of the grand theories that have the potential to solve organizational challenges with the use of advanced technologies. Furthermore, we are on the cusp of a revolution towards Industry 5.0, in which the emphasis is shifting from productivity and efficiency to a more socially conscious society for creating a greater good, with businesses and people all over the world seeking a middle ground between making profits and care for the planet. I'm certain that if we view contemporary businesses and their challenges both internal and external via a socio-technical lens, we may influence progressive change.
During my stint at the corporate I handled several roles at Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (TCS) for three and a half years. I initially started as a back-end developer, but quickly realised that I was more inclined to business analyst positions. I then transitioned to the position of business analyst, where I was the primary point of contact for business users and external clients. I also wore the hat of a Scrum Master for a brief period of time. Working at TCS was a very challenging and rewarding experience.
