About
Scientist with 7+ years of research experience with 5+ years in NGS-based molecular diagnostics and genomic surveillance. Sequenced and analyzed 1000+ pathogen genomes across viral and bacterial surveillance programs with expertise spanning WGS, RNA-Seq, metagenomics, AMR profiling, and phylogenetic analysis. Author of 20+ peer-reviewed publications (including 3 as first author in 2024-2026). Contributed to co-developing a validated RT-PCR diagnostic kit for SARS-CoV-2 Omicron detection achieving a ~2-hr turnaround time. Support project management and day-to-day execution of multiple PI-led national surveillance programs (PAN India, PM-ABHIM, NOHM) and serve as Technical Supervisor for NABL-related quality activities. Experienced trainer, having led 6+ hands-on NGS/bioinformatics workshops since 2023 and have hands-on guided 13+ PhD/PG/UG students through their research work.
