About
Dr Saikiran Vadavalli completed his PhD in Physics from University of Hyderabad in December 2013 with CSIR JRF and SRF fellowship. The title of his PhD thesis is "Synthesis, Characterization and Swift Heavy Ion Induced Modification of Semiconductor (Ge & Si) Nanocrystals". After that he worked as a post doctoral fellow for about 3.5 years on the topic "laser induced fabrication of periodic surface structures for SERS applications" in ultrafast optics laboratory at school of Physics, University of Hyderabad. He has received Canadian commonwealth scholarship, UGC Dr D S Kothari postdoctoral fellowship. His research interests are in laser ablation, metal/semiconductor nanoparticles, CNTs, Graphene, SERS, photonic materials. Presently he is working as Assistant Professor at Department of Physics, Institute of science, GITAM (Deemed to be University). He has published around 30 publications in international journals and conference proceedings.
