About
I am currently working as a Kreitman Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Desalination and Water Treatment, Zuckerberg Institute for Water Research, The Jacob Blaustein Institutes for Desert Research, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Sede Boqer Campus, Midreshet Ben-Gurion, Israel. Here, I am working on adsorptive Mixed Matrix Composite Ultrafiltration/Nanofiltration membranes for water treatment applications.
Before that, I obtained my Ph.D. in membrane science and technology from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (India) under the supervision of Prof. Abhijit Maiti (Department of Polymer and Process Engineering). My Ph.D. research aimed to develop nanoadsorbents and Mixed Matrix membranes for water treatment applications.
Before joining a Ph.D., I joined as an M. Tech. Student to Prof. Arun Kumar at the Department of hydro and renewable energy, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (India), where I worked on assessment and modeling of river water quality. My Dissertation topic was on Cumulative Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) on river ganga stretch water pollution with a specific focus on point source discharges.
My research interests include Membrane Technology, synthesis and characterization of nanocomposite materials selective adsorption of undesirable ions/contaminants from water/any other media.
