About
My name is Pramit Chandra Rout and I am a legal scholar, researcher and author, working as an Assistant Professor in Gandhi Institute for Education and Technology, Bhubaneswar. My academic background encompasses Corporate and Commercial Law, finance and business analytics, paving the way for multidisciplinary engagement in law, technology and economic policy. I concentrate my research on the new frontiers of scholarship within the evolution of regulatory frameworks, particularly with regard to the legal and economic facets of artificial intelligence (AI), IP law, corporate governance and financial jurisdictional boundaries.
I am a graduate of Utkal University where I obtained a Bachelor of Laws (B.A. LL.B. Hons.) and later graduated with a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from KIIT School of Law, with a focus on Corporate and Commercial Law. I deepened my knowledge of financial law and economic systems by achieving an MBA in Finance from Maharaj Agrasen Himalayan Garhwal University. I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Law at SoA Deemed to be University where I conduct research on Regulatory Compliance, Corporate Liability and Enforcement under Indian Laws, exploring possible contributions to the policy, regulation and legal system within the context of the digital environment.
As an author, I wrote more than 5 books, one being on the Indigenization of Defence Industry in India as a contribution to trade law and regulatory policies and I believe I provided valuable insight. My contributions go beyond books, as I also have authored peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters and policy documents concerning competition law, financial regulation and governance of artificial intelligence. Additionally, I worked as a Research Assistant at IIT Kharagpur and KIIT School of Law and undertook work regarding the administration of justice, financial inclusivity and the formulation of socio-economic policies.
In addition to this, I have completed non-degree programs in AI & Law, Legal Tech, Business Intelligence and Data Analytics, which positions me to further specialise within the technology-oriented legal domain. These pursuits continue to influence the legal paradigm related to the impact of AI on various global industries. My goal is to integrate regulatory economic and technology to solve issues posed by the digital economy.
