About
I am Dr. Abhay Shukla, currently serving as Professor and Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Rama University, Kanpur (U.P.), India. With more than 18 years of academic and research experience, my professional journey has been devoted to advancing education, innovation, and interdisciplinary research in Computer Science and Engineering.
I hold Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from reputed University of India, with my research focused on the Analysis and Design of Protocols for Clustering in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks. I also completed my M.Tech. (GATE Qualified) from YMCA Institute of Technology, Faridabad, along with MCA, LLB, B.E (CSE) and a Diploma in Civil Engineering, reflecting a multidisciplinary academic background.
My research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Internet of Things (IoT), Cybersecurity, and Data Science. I have published several papers in reputed and indexed journals such as IEEE, Springer Nature, SSRN, and Scopus, covering diverse areas like Edge-Optimized Deep Learning, Privacy-Preserving Data Mining, Explainable AI Models, and AI in Financial Auditing.
I have also been granted multiple national and international patents in AI-based healthcare systems, blockchain-secured IoT communication, and intelligent monitoring devices, with recognitions from Australia, Canada, and India. These innovations aim to bridge the gap between academic research and real-world applications in emerging technologies.
In addition to research, I have held various academic leadership roles including Dean-Academics, Chief Proctor, NAAC/NBA Coordinator, and Innovation Ambassador (MoE’s Innovation Cell). I also serve as a Mentor of Change under the Atal Innovation Mission (NITI Aayog), contributing to the development of young innovators and fostering a culture of research and entrepreneurship.
I have authored books such as Data Structure through Python, Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent System for Beginners, Computer Graphics, and Basic Concepts of Python Programming, and contributed chapters to international publications by Bentham Science and ABS Books.
Throughout my career, I have been honored with several awards including the Best Faculty Award (2019) and the Dronacharya Award (2012), and I have had the privilege to chair sessions and serve on advisory committees for prestigious conferences like IEEE ICBDML 2024 and ICRCET 2024.
As a lifelong learner, I have completed several NPTEL certifications in Cloud Computing, IoT, Intellectual Property, and Outcome-Based Learning, and attended Universal Human Values FDPs at IIT Kanpur and BBDNIT Lucknow.
With a strong commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and ethical values, I continue to focus on guiding students and researchers toward impactful contributions in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Emerging Technologies.
