About

I am a Biotechnology professional with research background of molecular plant pathology/virology, breeding, and horticulture. My research targets on plant health management, assessing germplasm for the diversity and resilience to abiotic and biotic stresses using phenological and molecular tools (SSR/SNPs/GWAS), for utilizing them in breeding using classical and marker-assisted selection. I do have significant experience of utilizing advanced molecular tools (omics & genetic engineering) for the improvement of plant pathogen, which I am committed to utilize in my future research of crop improvement (wheat, maize, potato and tomato) using new genomic techniques (NGTs) including CRISPR/Cas. My research also focusing on optimization of tissue culture protocols for the mass propagation of planting materials of economically important plants including aloe-vera, peach, potato and tomato.
