About
A detail-oriented, focused researcher specializing in synthetic organic chemistry, peptide synthesis, and molecular sensing, with expertise in developing pharmaceutically relevant heterocycles, peptide-based chromofluorescent probes, and NIR-emissive fluorescent dyes for diverse applications. I am self-motivated to enhance my research, academic, and technical knowledge through continuous learning and improvement.
Experimental Skills:
•Experience in multistep synthesis of N/O/S-heterocycles with scalability from mg to gram-level production.
•Specialized in peptide synthesis through solution-phase peptide synthesis (SolPPS).
•Skilled in conducting protection/deprotection, cross-coupling, low-temperature, and air/moisture-sensitive reactions.
•Experience in developing heterocyclic-, amino acid-, and peptide-based fluorescent sensors for selective detection of ions, ROS/RNS species, toxic analytes, and for applications in chemical warfare agent detoxification, AChE reactivation, luminescent writing, anti-counterfeiting, etc.
•Hands-on experience in synthesizing and functionalizing Zr-MOFs and Cu-BTC MOFs, including peptide conjugation via post-synthetic modification.
• Specializing in developing near-infrared (NIR) fluorophores with dual-state emission (DSE), aggregation-induced emission (AIE), and multi-stimuli-responsive chromism.
•Developed a range of multicolor, bright fluorescent compounds utilizing diverse fluorophores such as xanthene, phenothiazine, acridine, coumarin, cyanine, phenazine, quinoline, isophorone, benzothiazole, malachite green, etc. (Industrial Project)
•Experience fabricating an RGB-Arduino-based electronic device for programmable color display and sensing applications. (Capable of building a complete electronic set-up)
•Practical experience with nickel boride (Ni-B) heterogeneous catalysis for chemoselective transformations.
Technical Skills:
•Hands-on experience with FTIR, NMR, DLS, UV-Vis, and PL instruments.
•Experience with FTIR, NMR, HRMS, LCMS, PXRD, SEM, TEM, DLS, DSC, TGA, CD, and AFM techniques.
•Skilled in performing singlet and triplet state calculations using DFT and TD-DFT methods with Gaussian 09/16 software packages.
