About

Studied Microbiology and trained in Biochemistry (Parasitology) as Junior Research Fellow in India. Graduated in Molecular Epigenetics at Jacobs University Bremen, Germany. Altogether emerged as a multidisciplinary researcher. Started my research career as Faculty Fellow at Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India. Then, moved to IIT Madras, and joined as an Assistant Professor, at Dept of Biotechnology. Our lab research is primarily focused on Malarial Epigenetics, particularly work on understanding the chromatin plasticity of the human pathogen P. falciparum.
