About

Prof. Hasarmani.T.S is officiating as Associate Professor with PhD in Electrical Engineering at Bhivarabai Sawant College of Engineering and Research Narhe Pune India. He is doing research in the field of Hybridization of Energy Resources, Renewable Energy Technologies, Energy Efficiency, Agri-Tech, Smart Farming and Rural Development.

His research focuses on “Techno-Economic Sizing of Distributed Energy Resources for Performance Improvement of Jaggery Making Units in Tri-Generation System”.

He has designed and developed “Modified Cost Effective Energy Efficient Jaggery Units” ranging from 30 to 50 TCD capacities for farmer producer groups in India. He has provided Solar PV –DG Hybrid Power System as a possible technology up gradation to conventional single DG operated jaggery units located in remote rural areas of India. This work is vital to reduce energy consumption and contribute to a sustainable future.

In this way, his community based research work aims towards the mission of “Energy Self Sufficiency of Rural Enterprises” that plays vital role in promoting local job employment and entrepreneurship opportunities. Prof.Hasarmani is actively involved in promoting rural entrepreneurship and helping farmers in creating “Farmer producer companies” (FPCs) in India.
He is a recipient of many awards of international repute like “IEEE Overall Best Paper Award” at "Bangalore Humanitarian Technology Conference", BHTC-2020; “IEEE Best Paper Award” at “IEEEPunecon-2018” ,“Global Outreach Education Award” and "Honorary Rosalind Member of London Journals Press" to name a few.

He is on Advisory board of many leading industries and institutes like Sensycon Controls-Robotics and Automation,Fronious India, All India Radio Pune and delivered numerous keynote addresses on “Waste to Energy”, “Energy Optimization” “Renewable Energy Technologies, “Smart Villages” at national and international platforms and session chaired many prestigeous IEEE International conferences in India and abroad.
