Dr. S.L. Hoti, Emeritus Scientist in ICMR-VCRC, Puducherry, He had Ph.D from Madras University, Chennai in Microbiology and was DBT oversees fellow at Welcome Trust Centre for Epidemiology of Infectious Diseases, Oxford University, Oxford UK. He has 45 years of experience in the fields of microbial technologies for the control of vectors, molecular biological and immunodiagnostics, molecular epidemiology and genomics of vector borne parasites and pathogens. He has over 160 publications, 2 books and 13 patents. He is a fellow of National Academy of Sciences, India (NASI), Prayagraj and was a member of its Governing Council. He is on expert panel of World Federation of Parasitologists. He was Temporary Advisor to WHO/SEARO for dengue and chikungunya, and World Bank/WHO for monitoring helminthic drug resistance.
