About
I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biotechnology and Chemical Engineering at Manipal University Jaipur, India. I hold a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics and have over seven years of research experience in genomics, transcriptomics, and next-generation sequencing (NGS)-based studies. My research focuses on host–pathogen interactions, integrative multi-omics analysis, pathogen genomics, and molecular mechanisms of infectious diseases. I have actively contributed to national genomic surveillance programs for COVID-19 and dengue, along with database development for biological data integration. In addition, my work extends to clinical and agricultural genomics, including the genomic characterization of plant pathogens.
I am proficient in a wide range of computational tools, programming languages (Python, R, Bash), and high-performance computing environments, which support my research and teaching endeavors. Over the years, I have extensively published in peer-reviewed journals and currently continuing to pursue projects that merge cutting-edge computational biology with real-world biological challenges. I am deeply passionate about applying bioinformatics for translational impact and fostering collaborative research networks that advance innovation in both human and plant health.
