Dr. D. V. Kamath
Currently working as Professor and Head in the Department of Mechatronics, MIT, Manipal
Obtained PhD in the field of Analog VLSI Signal Processing from Manipal University, Manipal in the year 2013. Obtained B.E (Electronics and Communication) and M.E (Digital electronics) from B.V. Bhoomreddi College of Engg., Karnataka University, Dharwad in the year 1987 and 1997 respectively.
The research and academic contribution includes one US patent issued at WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization), 7 full regular papers published in indexed international journals of good repute, 3 indexed international IEEE conference publications, two Nationl level conference publications and four books.
Areas of Research Interest include Analog and Mixed Signal VLSI design and Analog VLSI Signal Processing
Guided a project titled “VLSI Implementation of a Traffic Control system” during the year 2002-03, which has got grant from Karnataka State Council For Science and Technology (KSCST), I.I.Sc, Bangalore and was selected for State Level Seminar-cum-Exhibition held at Vijayanagar Engineering College, Bellary on 12-13 September 2003.
Has been conferred with “Best Poster Award” in the category of Technical and Management for the poster presented during the MU Scientific Meet for PhD students held on 2nd January 2012 at Manipal
Presented/conducted key-note address/ tutorials and seminars at various International/ National Level Conferences/ Workshops.
Conducted a 2-day Refresher Course on “Electronics and VLSI” to final year B.E. (E&C) students at Alva's Institute of Engineering and Technology, Moodabidri on 27- 28 July 2015.
