About
Dr. Priyakrushna Mohanty is a recipient of prestigious Travel Corporation (India) Gold Medal for his outstanding performance in Master’s Degree in Tourism Studies from Pondicherry University, Puducherry, India. He has served the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Ltd. for one and the half year following which he resigned to carry out his future endeavors in academics. He was then recruited as a Guest Faculty in the Dept. of Tourism Studies, Pondicherry University and served the department for about a year. He was awarded the estimable U.G.C. Junior Research Fellowship in the year 2015. Currently, he is pursuing his Doctoral Degree from Pondicherry University under the supervision of Dr. Anu Chandran. He has participated and presented in many research courses, workshops, seminars and conferences organized by reputed institutes like KILA, Thrissur, French Institute, Pondicherry and V.V. Giri National Labour Institute, Noida. He has published a couple of research papers in international refereed journals. His area of research includes Poverty, Livelihood, Gender and Sustainable Tourism.
