Dr. Himel Mondal, MBBS, MD, PGDHE, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physiology at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Deoghar, Jharkhand, India. He teaches human physiology to undergraduate medical and paramedical students and conducts research in basic physiology, medical education, public health, medical devices, and general practice. He completed his MBBS at Calcutta National Medical College and earned his MD in Physiology and Biophysics from Maharaja Krishna Chandra Gajapati Medical College and Hospital, along with a Postgraduate Diploma in Higher Education from IGNOU. Dr. Mondal has authored over 300 research publications, contributing extensively to the academic literature in fields such as artificial intelligence in medical education, bibliometrics, reflective writing, and global health trends. He also serves as a Section Editor for the journal Cureus.
