Jyothula Madan
Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, National Geophysical Research Institute
About
My research expertise includes (i) Compilation of uniform and declustered regional earthquake catalog, (ii) Probabilistic Seismic Hazard Assessment (PSHA), (iii) geophysical field investigations including HVSR analysis of microtremor record and MASW towards site characterization, (iv) strong understanding of geotechnical earthquake engineering for site response and soil liquefaction assessment, and (v) microzonation studies towards understanding and mitigating the risks associated with earthquakes for safe urbanization, (vi) hands-on experience in installation of seismological observatories for real time earthquake monitoring, waveform analysis for event location and source characterization.
