Dr. Loka Subramanyam Sarma has an M. Sc (in the year 1993) and Ph. D degrees (in the year 2000) from Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, INDIA. He was a National Science Council Post Doctoral Fellow at National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, Taipei, Taiwan and worked with Prof. Bing Joe Hwang on electrocatalysts for fuel cell reactions from 2001 to 2008. Later, DrSarma received Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship, Germany under the experienced researchers’ category in 2008 and continued his work on fuel cell electrocatalysts with Prof. Thomas Turek at Technical University of Clausthal, Clausthal Zellerfeld, Germany in various time periods during the years 2008, 2009, 2010 & 2011. Dr. Sarma joined Yogi Vemana University in the year 2009 as an assistant professor. His research interests are focused on design and synthesis of nanomaterials for energy applications, electrochemistry and fuel cells. Dr. Sarma has completed one research project funded by DST, India. Dr. Sarma published over 70 papers in various top-tired journals including Journal of the American Chemical Society (JACS), ACS Nano, Nanoscale, Chemistry – an European Journal, Journal of the Physical Chemistry B & C, Langmuir, International Journal of Hydrogen Energy etc, contributed 7 book chapters, and some of his works received USA, Europe, and ROC patents.
