About

Metal borohydrides have high gravimetric and volumetric content of hydrogen in solid form. Challenge lies in making a safe and efficient system which can release hydrogen at suitable temperature and pressure. My work involves synthesis of novel material which can help to achieve this challenge and characterization of such novel compounds using vibrational spectroscopy, DSC-TGA, NMR, crystallography and DFT calculations.

For past one year I have also been working on various functional derivatives of sodium dodeca-closborane which are regarded as potential electrolyte for solid state sodium ionic batteries.
