BRIEF PROFILE : Have 23 years of experience in Academic Administration and Institution Building.
Worked as Professor, Head – Biotechnology Dept., Head – Microbiology Dept., Registrar, Director – Corporate Resources Center, Director – IQAC, Dean Academics, Dy. Pro Vice Chancellor, and Provost in last 18 years at Amity University Rajasthan.
Contributing to sister universities of Amity Education Group for their Academic - Administrative Audits, NAAC preparations and Laboratories establishments.
Worked in Mangalayatan University for one year as Dean – Faculty of Biotechnology & Pharmacy.
Experienced in developing need-based programs and aligning them with university vision & mission. Besides developing course profile system which is having full planning of teaching – learning – evaluation, have Inducted outcome-based education and program attainment practice to ensure quality delivery, which paves clear path for students’ progression. Given reforms in students’ performance evaluation by providing 50 % continuous evaluation and institutionalized best practices like case studies, flip classes, peer group evaluation etc. Great interest in Laboratory design & development as per global standards.
Established Industrial Advisory Council (IAC) in each department and connects its outcome to Board of Studies & University Incubator to strengthen university curriculum and entrepreneurial skills respectively.
Inducted choice-based credit system (CBCS) and offered Minor Track Courses where students can earn minor degree, which is additional to their main degree, it has enhanced students reach beyond the domain and help in successful progression. Initiated credit restructuring for 95 programs at Amity to give global compatibility for preparations of future ready students.
Organized faculty development programs to prepare faculty members to attract Industrial & government research grants and created research environment, also connect PG students with research scholars for their hands on practice.
Have established quality circles in academics, R & D and general governance at university as per the expectations of NAAC, NIRF, THE, QS and other domain specific governing bodies (BCI, RCI, COA, PCI). Organized scheduled visits of these bodies and completed accreditations & ranking, in recent NAAC exercise we have scored 3.31 (A+) for our second cycle. We have developed strong mechanisms to initiate, support and monitor quality circles in academics and R & D, create an environment to give sustainable outcome. Also developed a strong feedback loop completion system to strengthen bridge among stakeholders. Developed university budget to support academic and administrative expenditure for SFS system.
Covid 19 Pandemic has also given opportunity to establish our semester delivery in online mode, we have developed & delivered contents for theory and possible practical’s, revised our evaluation pedagogy to do justice with student’s performance.
Implemented NEP – 2020, four tier degrees with multiple exits to support students need, credit linked horizontal and vertical mobility to serve slow & fast learners.
As professor, always give priority to teaching every day, completed funded R & D projects, given consultancy, published research articles in SCI Journals and patents also. Recently our biology cluster got DST - FIST & PURSE grants worth 10 CR.
Designed 5-year plan and its attainment mechanism for university.
Developed team of faculty & support staff and keep them motivated for university building.
