Dr. Mahmudul Hasan Laskar is working as an Assistant Professor of Sociology at Symbiosis Law School Hyderabad, Symbiosis International Deemed University (Hyderabad Campus). Before joining Symbiosis, Dr. Laskar worked as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Sociology, University of Science and Technology Meghalaya, India, from 2014-2023. Dr. Laskar is Co-convener of Adhoc Group-01: Digital Sociology, Indian Sociological Society and member of International Sociological Association. He has published three books, several research papers, and chapters, which are indexed in Scopus, Web of Science, Russian Science Citation Index, and others. He has organized several International conferences and workshops. The theoretical schools which influenced his works and writing are Weberian interpretive sociology, Phenomenological sociology, Frankfurt School, Post-modern or post-industrial analysis of Ulrich Beck, Anthony Giddens and Baudrillard. His research works are in the fields of Digital Sociology, social stratification, environmental sociology, social well-being, happiness, culture industry, consumption culture and Social media.
Dr. Laskar is a member of editorial committee in many journals.
