About
Samrat Das was born in Falakata, a town in West Bengal, India. He received the Integrated B.Tech.–M.Tech. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST), Shibpur, West Bengal, India, in 2022. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, India.
His research interests include the modeling, design, and control of high-speed switched reluctance machines (SRMs), the design and control of power electronic systems, and the analysis of noise and vibration in electric machines.
He is a recipient of the Prime Minister’s Research Fellowship (PMRF) during his Ph.D. work.
