About
Dr. Karm Veer Arya achieved the Master of Engineering (Integrated M. E.) degree in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Science (I.I.Sc.), Bangalore, India and earned Ph. D. degree in Computer Science & Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (I.I.T. Kanpur), Kanpur, India.
Presently he is working as a Professor in Department of Computer Science and Engineering at ABV-Indian Institute of Information Technology & Management (IIITM), Gwalior, India. He also served Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad, MJP Rohilkhand University Bareilly and worked as Dean (PG Studies & Research) at AKTU Lucknow. He was Summer Visiting Faculty at San Diego State University, San Diego, California, USA in June-July 2013.
He has more than 33 years of experience teaching undergraduate and postgraduate classes. He has guided 12 Ph.D. and more than 100 M. Tech. dissertations and presently guiding 07 Ph. D. and 3 MTech. students. He has published more than 200 journal and conference papers in the area of image processing, biometrics, and Reliability analysis. Dr. Arya has co-authored a book titled “Security in Mobile Ad-hoc Networks” and edited five books namely “Emerging Wireless Communication (Springer)”, “Digital Image Enhancement and Reconstruction (Elsevier), Intelligent Vision in Healthcare (Springer-Nature)", "Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Techniques in Image Processing and Computer Vision (Taylor & Francis)", and “Biometric Computing (Taylor & Francis)”.
He has successfully completed the couple of funded projects on image analysis. Dr. Arya has chaired the technical sessions in International and national conferences in India and abroad and delivered many invited talks/keynotes in India, USA, Singapore, South Korea, Mexico, Sri Lanka, Malta, and Thailand. Dr. Arya is on the Editorial board of many international journals.
He has edited the Proceedings of 9th IEEE International Conference on Industrial & Information Systems (ICIIS2014) held on 15th-17th, Dec. 2014 at Gwalior, India and 7th International conference on Intelligent Technologies (ICIT – 2022) held on 16th - 18th December 2022 at Jakarta, Indonesia and currently is the member of organizing committee and program committees for various national and international conferences and workshops.
He is a Senior Member of IEEE, a Fellow of IETE, Fellow Institution of Engineers (India), member of ACM, and life member of ISTE.
