About
This is Dhruvi Sedha, PhD scholar immersed in the captivating realms of forest ecology and remote sensing at the esteemed Space Applications Centre (SAC), Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and Gujarat University. My journey is not merely academic; it is a heartfelt ode to the majesty of our forests. Nestled within the verdant tapestry of my journey lies a significant milestone. I am honoured to be bestowed with the Department of Science and Technology Inspire Fellowship- an INSPIRE Awardee, a recognition of my unwavering dedication to environmental science and research.
In my current expedition with the Phenocam project at ISRO, I am privileged to witness the ever-changing spectacle of forest life through the lens of time-lapse cameras. With every frame captured, I am reminded of the delicate balance of nature and the urgent need to safeguard its splendor for generations to come.
Amidst the cacophony of data and technology, I find solace in the harmonious melodies of Python and R programming, crafting algorithms that unlock the secrets hidden within vast troves of ecological data. With the boundless vistas offered by Google Earth Engine, I traverse the virtual landscapes of geospatial data, seeking to unravel the intricate patterns of forest dynamics.
My journey is driven by an abiding love for forests, a love that transcends academia and permeates every facet of my being. It is a love born of reverence for the sanctity of nature and a deep-seated desire to be a steward of its wonders. As I navigate the labyrinthine corridors of scientific inquiry, I am guided by the belief that by understanding and cherishing our forests, we can forge a path towards a more sustainable and harmonious future.
