About
Dr Haladhar Dev Sarma earned bachelor and master’s degree in Veterinary Science at Assam Agricultural University, Guwahati 781022, India. He holds Doctorate degree in Basic Medical Sciences from Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune 411007, India. He has served Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, the premiere nuclear research establishment of the country for more than two and half decades in various capacities as Scientific Officer, Head of Experimental Animal Facility & Radioisotope Laboratory, and Consultant to the Radiation Biology and Health Sciences Division. Dr Sarma has extensive research expertise in pre-clinical studies; bio-evaluation of new chemical entity; in vivo toxicity studies of investigational new drug; development of animal model for pharmaceutical and cancer research and molecular imaging. He and his co-workers are commended for development of quite a few radiopharmaceutical products for cancer diagnosis and treatment. Dr Sarma has co-authored more than 270 research publication in reputed scientific journals and books. He has a couple of US and European patents. His research contribution has been well acclaimed by the scientific communities worldwide, which is reflected by his nomination to the board of editors of about ten scientific journals. His scientific excellence has also been well recognized by the award of several national and international accolades.
