Dr. Keyurkumar M. Nayak is an accomplished academician with over 25 years of experience in teaching, research, and academic administration, including more than 20 years of post-Ph.D. experience. He holds a Ph.D. (2006) from Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, along with a Master’s degree (First Class, 1999) and a Bachelor’s degree (First Class, 1995). His academic journey reflects a strong commitment to excellence in higher education, global research collaboration, and enhancing student employability.
Dr. Nayak has made significant scholarly contributions with over 66 research papers published and 24 books authored, along with active participation as a conference presenter. He has provided extensive research guidance, successfully completed 7 Ph.D. scholars and supervising more than 200 postgraduate research projects, demonstrating his dedication to nurturing future researchers and academicians.
His engagement with industry is noteworthy, having collaborated with leading organizations such as Welspun, Sterlite, IFFCO, JK Cement, and Ashapura Group, and facilitating over 100 industry MoUs. He has also been involved in impactful funded projects, including a Menstrual Health Study and various skill training programs, contributing to both academic and societal development.
In the domain of academic leadership, Dr. Nayak has designed over 65 academic programs and conducted more than 300 faculty development workshops, emphasizing innovation in curriculum design and capacity building. His strategic vision focuses on improving global research rankings, strengthening industry-academia integration, enhancing student employability, and fostering international collaborations.
His core competencies include accreditation processes, curriculum design, industry collaboration, and research and development. Recognizing his academic excellence, University of Mumbai`s Garware Institute of Career Education and Development has been awarded the 2nd in the University Departmental Ranking Framework for the academic year 2023–24.
